2011 CCAC ‘LUCKY’ Arts and Culture Calendar

Most of you know by now that there’s a calendar in the works, and we're happy to report it'll be ready from the printer by Labor Day. In the meantime we're taking orders at courtney.ccac@verizon.net

We’re happy to report that we received submissions from a wide variety of artists and writers and even a few organizations. The entries were juried by Jax Deluca, Programming Director of Squeaky Wheel in Buffalo, and Colin Shaffer, Arts Administrator at JCC’s Weeks Gallery.

Here’s the twist...given the state of the State, we need sales of the calendar to go a long way toward offsetting the current and anticipated cuts from the state and from other funders. So, to make the calendar twice as tempting, you’ll not only be purchasing a beautiful, four-color showcase of the best artists this region has to offer, but the calendar may also be a moneymaker for you! This idea came from one of our most loyal members. He suggested we make these calendars ‘lucky.’ Huh? Lucky? Each of the 1,000 calendars we sell will be numbered. If you purchase calendar number 254 (just for example), and those three numbers come up on the evening New York State Pick 3 (in that order)—you’ll win a cash prize. If it’s on a weekend, you’ll win more. And if your number is chosen on a holiday, then you’ll indeed be very lucky.

We hope this will be a fun opportunity for all our loyal supporters to not only help CCAC, but perhaps help themselves as well! Calendars will be $25, and we’re taking orders at courtney.ccac@verizon.net. Please provide name, address, phone number and email as well as your "lucky" number(s). If numbers are already reserved CCAC will contact you.
